Once a nerdy, shy scientist always overshadowed by his colleagues, Rex was particularly picked on by Isolde, a fellow researcher at a neighboring lab. In an attempt to prove his brilliance, Rex set off a highly experimental reaction, trying to tie the strings of string theory together. The result was a catastrophic braided reaction that warped not only his lab but the neighboring lab as well, transforming Rex into a muscular, time-bending behemoth. Now, Rex sees the world in splintering moments, able to manipulate time in bursts of controlled chaos. No longer the quiet nerd, he’s a towering force to be reckoned with, using his newfound strength and time-manipulation powers to reshape reality. Though he’s embraced his new form, Rex’s thirst for revenge against those who mocked him still burns, especially toward Isolde.
